Lethbridge Primary School

Lethbridge Primary School has recently relocated from the Midland Highway between Geelong and Ballarat to its new location in the township of Lethbridge. This transition represents a significant achievement for the school community and places the school in an excellent position to build on its 135 year rural history with outstanding facilities, supportive families and dedicated, enthusiastic and professional staff. Our motto “Lethbridge Primary School: Community of Learners” encapsulates the importance of collaborative learning within our community. We are proud of the progressive and comprehensive curriculum provided at Lethbridge Primary School. Our staff share a commitment to authentic and meaningful learning that is relevant to our rural context. Our ongoing commitment to being an Aussie Vic Resource Smart School, the provision of netbooks to every year 4-6 student, in 2010 and beyond, and our success at Victorian and National Solar Boat (junior) Challenges are examples of the excellent outcomes achieved by the school, our families and our students working together. Within the Lethbridge Primary School community of learners we have identified the key values that provide a foundation for the decisions, choices and actions of stakeholders in our school community.

These include:

* care for self, others and the environment
* respect, value and embrace difference
* value and encourage community collaboration and involvement
* value life-long learning
* recognize perseverance and resilience as personal attributes that enhance effective learning
